A Strong and Proud History
Aggreko Inc. was founded as a private company in 1999 as Innovative Climate Solutions Inc. in Cochrane, Alberta. In 2000, two additional partners joined the team, and Aggreko expanded its ground thaw services to include portable flame-free heat, cure and dry applications. Aggreko GROUP INC. moved to Calgary in 2002, expanded in Edmonton in 2003, Fort McMurray in 2004, Winnipeg in 2009 and Saskatoon in 2013.
Success with early construction projects, such the $60,000,000.00, 500,000 square feet Canadian Tire Distribution Centre, Calgary Airport expansion, multiple commercial and multi-family projects, allowed Aggreko to prove our value and begin building our reputation as specialized experts. Additional projects of significance include: Thunder Bay Hospital, Calgary Alberta Children’s Hospital, Edmonton World Trade Centre, Cross Iron Mills Mall and Winnipeg Airport..
Since our inception, many new applications have been developed through ongoing research and development, and new application development, that have helped customers overcome their unique challenges. These innovative solutions have qualified Aggreko to expand into additional markets such as oil, gas, industrial, events and restoration.
